2024 Fantasy Outlook
Hill is the first player ever with multiple seasons of 1,700 receiving yards, having done it in both of his first two years with the Dolphins. He was on pace for a record-breaking 2,098 yards (and 17 TDs) through Week 13 last season, but then a Week 14 ankle injury cost him part of one game and all of another, derailing his MVP candidacy in the process. Coach Mike McDaniel's offense has proven even more fantasy-friendly than the Reid/Mahomes partnership Hill had in Kansas City, with the wideout playing fewer snaps than other top receivers (43.4 per game last year) but drawing targets on an unprecedented share of his routes. Last year, Hill was targeted on 37.8 percent of routes, seven percentage points ahead of second-place Davante Adams (30.8). The year before, Hill was a bit lower at 33.0 percent, though still the NFL leader by two percentage points. Coming off the field on a semi-regular basis allows the league's fastest player to keep his leagues fresh and exert all his energy on each route he runs. Hill has missed just seven games in eight seasons despite heavy usage, and he doesn't seem to have lost a step ahead of his age-30 campaign, setting him up to again lead one of the league's most explosive offenses alongside QB Tua Tagovailoa and WR Jaylen Waddle. RANKS
Relatively quiet in playoff loss
Hill secured five of eight targets for 62 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' 26-7 wild-card loss to the Chiefs on Saturday night.
ANALYSIS
Hill's much-ballyhooed return to Arrowhead Stadium did have one standout moment, a 53-yard touchdown reception early in the second quarter that served as the Dolphins' first points of the night. However, the perennial Pro Bowler was otherwise impressively shut down by the Chiefs' secondary, netting just nine yards on his four other catches. Hill also spent some time on the sideline late in the fourth quarter, although there was no report of an injury. Despite the highly disappointing end to what once appeared to be a potential Super Bowl season for the Dolphins, Hill arguably profiled as the best receiver in the league while establishing new career highs during the regular season in receiving yards (1,799) and targets (171), as well as tying the career-best 119 receptions he'd recorded in one additional game in 2022.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
No desire to leave Miami
Hill indicated Monday on the Around the Bar podcast that he would like to retire as a member of the Dolphins. "Miami is a great city. I love the team I play on, love the guys in the locker room, love the head coach, love the GM," Hill said. "So that means sign me. I love all you guys so much, I want to stay in Miami forever, man. Keep me there."
ANALYSIS
The 30-year-old's current contract runs through 2026 and has over $120 million in potential salary remaining on it, although Miami could release Hill after the 2024 campaign with a manageable dead cap hit. Given his importance to the Dolphins' offense, however, it seems unlikely that the club would simply cut him loose rather than trying to reach an extension that would reduce his cap hit if needed. Hill hauled in a career-high 1,799 yards last season over 16 regular-season games with 13 touchdowns, adding 62 yards and one more score in a wild-card loss to the Bills.

Hill's first season outside the friendly confines of Kansas City ended with career highs for targets, catches and yards, with the former Chief catching 70 percent of his chances for 10.1 YPT even though starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa took only two-thirds of Miami's snaps. Talented teammate Jaylen Waddle also had a hugely efficient year, buoyed by the long-distance touchdowns that are Hill's trademark, but the fleet-footed veteran ultimately drew 53 more targets than his half-a-step-slower running mate. Perhaps that gap closes this year as Waddle enters Year 3, but even then it's not like the Dolphins have a dominant TE, pass-catching back or strong No. 3 receiver to siphon targets. They did add slot specialist Braxton Berrios this offseason, potentially a minor upgrade on last year's third receiver Trent Sherfield. On the other hand, Berrios might see more work on special teams than offense, and coach Mike McDaniel solidified his preference for blocking tight ends by replacing Mike Gesicki (Patriots) with former Broncos backup Eric Saubert. The only real concern for Hill is Tagovailoa's injury history, and that was already a problem last season without dragging the wideout's stats down.
