2024 Fantasy Outlook
Raymond has been with the Lions for three years. In 2023, the pass catcher had his worst season with the team. The main issue was that Raymond was targeted just 44 times in 17 games. One of the main reasons that Raymond saw a decreased role was that Jameson Williams saw an increase in playing time. It would seem that Williams is ready to see his role increase again in 2024. If that happens, Raymond could see his production fall even further. The veteran’s best hope for fantasy success would be if other Detroit receivers miss time. Read Past Outlooks
RANKS
Totals 564 yards in 2023
Raymond (knee) caught 35 passes (on 44 targets) for 489 yards with one touchdown while rushing seven times for 75 yards over 17 regular-season games in 2023.
ANALYSIS
While he didn't reach the four touchdowns he scored in 2021 or the 652 yards he totaled in 2022, Raymond put together yet another respectable season as a tertiary option in Detroit's high-flying offense while pitching in at punt returner as well. He rarely needed much playing time to do it, either, given that Raymond topped 30 percent of the offensive snaps in just six games and had more than four targets only twice. With offensive coordinator Ben Johnson surprisingly coming back as Detroit's offensive coordinator, Raymond -- who remains under contract through 2025 -- should be back next season as an interesting gadget player on offense and a key player on special teams.

Progressing in recovery
Head coach Dan Campbell said Wednesday that Raymond's injured knee is improving ahead of Sunday's divisional-round game against the Buccaneers, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports. "He's better," Campbell said. "Honestly, this is going to be one of those that comes down to Friday or Saturday before we know for sure. He's improved a ton."
ANALYSIS
Raymond missed the wild-card round win over the Rams after injuring his knee in Week 18. Though Raymond didn't practice Wednesday, Campbell is hoping that the wide receiver will be ready to return by Sunday. Raymond also serves as Detroit's punt returner when available.

2020
Raymond was a dependable asset for Detroit in 2022. Playing in all 17 games, the 2022 second-team All-Pro punt returner helped fill in for each of Amon-Ra St. Brown, DJ Chark and Josh Reynolds while the team waited the entire year for rookie Jameson Williams to recover from a knee injury. Even though the Lions eventually want Williams to run away with the No. 2 job behind St. Brown, Williams will miss at least the first six games of the year as a result of violating the league's gambling policy. That gives Raymond a chance to handle a large role at receiver out of the gate this season, especially because they only replaced the 26-year-old Chark with a 33-year-old Marvin Jones in the offseason.
