2024 Fantasy Outlook
We could see the talent for years with Clark, but he just struggled to put it all together. That all changed last season when he scored two wins, one at the signature event at Quail Hollow and the other at the U.S. Open. Clark finished the season third in the FedExCup after a strong showing at East Lake, one of eight top-10s on the year. He also only missed three cuts in 28 starts, which speaks to his big improvements with the irons to go with that power and putting prowess. While the 29-year-old has everything you are looking for from a top-tier PGA Tour player, we need to see him back it up in 2024 before we can project him among the upper echelon players. Falls off in Round 2
May 18, 2024
Clark shot a four-over 75 in Round 2 of the PGA Championship to miss the cut at the event.
ANALYSIS
Clark entered the round at even par, but shot a double bogey and five bogeys to just three birdies to miss the cut. The missed cut was his second straight at a major tournament following his poor performance at The Masters in April. Clark is not in the field for next week's Charles Schwab Challenge.

Though he had finished with more FedEx points in his rookie season, Clark's fourth and most recent season on the PGA Tour was his best. Clark set a career high in money earned and cuts made (22/29). Clark is starting to show more consistency after missing double digit cuts in each of the last two seasons. The Oregon product ranked fourth in driving distance last season, but only 56th in SG: Off-the-Tee and 173rd in SG: Approach. That tells me he needs to reign things in a bit to put himself in better positions to attack pins. Clark has been a great putter throughout his career, so there's a lot of tools to work with here if he can harness his ability.
Clark missed at least 12 cuts for the second straight year. He was buoyed by his runner-up at the Bermuda Championship and a T8 at the Genesis Invitational. He did not close the season especially well missing the cut in his last seven starts. Clark has been very poor approaching the green ever since he came on tour, which is really what has been holding him back. He is very long off the tee and solid around the green and with the putter.
Clark has shown to be an excellent putter in his young career, but his ball striking has really struggled. Last season he ranked 20th in SG: Putting, but 193rd in SG: Tee-to-green. It's really the reason he went just 10-for-23 in made cuts last season. Until he shows more consistent ball striking, Clark will be hard to trust in all formats.
Clark appeared in three PGA Tour events during the 2017-18 season, notably finishing 17th at the Sanderson Farms Championship before missing cuts at the OHL Classic and Waste Management Phoenix Open. On the Web.com Tour in 2018, he collected to top-three finishes and four top-10s, but missed 11 cuts in 23 starts. Clark struggled with his accuracy off the tee, but made up for it with distance as he ultimately finished top-30 in birdie average.
