Robert MacIntyre

27-Year-Old Golfer
2024 Fantasy Outlook
MacIntyre would have been a winner on the PGA Tour if not for a truly heroic finish by Rory McIlroy at the Scottish Open. Nevertheless, that showing in his national open went a long way to notching a spot on the Ryder Cup team and securing a PGA Tour card for 2024. Ball-striking has never really been the strength of MacIntyre's game, but he turned that around last season where he ranked 13th in SG: Tee-to-Green on the DPWT. Combine that with his natural ability on the greens and MacIntyre could certainly make a little noise in 2024. He has already notched a trio of top-12 finishes in majors at age 27. Read Past Outlooks
Wins first PGA Tour event
June 2, 2024
MacIntyre shot 16-under-par to win the RBC Canadian Open by one stroke on Sunday
ANALYSIS
MacIntyre struggled throughout much of his first season full-time on the PGA Tour, but he had started to find form the last couple months with top-15s in three of his last five starts. Everything was starting to come together for the Scot and after three rounds in Canada he found himself with a four-shot lead. There were a couple points were it looked like it was starting to slip away from MacIntyre, but he held steady and made some good swings down the stretch to close out his first win on the PGA Tour. His ball-striking was solid, but not typically what we see in PGA Tour winners. He just had an unbelievable week on the greens where he gained over 11 strokes on the field. MacIntrye will now be in the final two Signature Events of the season and the U.S. Open in a couple weeks.

2022 Fantasy Outlook
The Scotsman has been ranked in the top 50 in the world during 2021 and was trying to secure his PGA Tour card via the Korn Ferry playoffs. Even in the unlikely scenario that MacIntyre fails to qualify that way, his world ranking, and name recognition, would get him into many PGA Tour events, plus majors and WGCs.
